October’s full moon doesn’t simply rise, it exposes. Known as the Hunter’s Moon, it floods the land with light. Historically, it illuminated bare fields so hunters could see what had nowhere to hide.
This moon is the true heart of the Season of Scares. Hunters know that panic is what gives you away. Ghosts know it too.
Under the Hunter’s Moon, ghosts intrude. They appear in reflections and doorways and peripheral vision, where the mind is least able to defend itself. And this month’s moon doesn’t care whether you believe. Belief isn’t required. Attention is enough.
Tonight, I’d suggest you don’t invite anything lightly. Folklore warns against curiosity without caution for a reason. Doors left ajar. Names spoken aloud. Rituals half-remembered. Under the Hunter’s Moon these aren’t harmless gestures.
What hunts doesn’t always arrive suddenly, sometimes it waits for you to look back.
October’s full moon reminds us that fear isn’t an indulgence of the season, it’s a memory older than language. A survival instinct sharpened by centuries of listening to the dark.
So, if you feel watched, trust your instinct.
Something is close.
And under this moon, it can see you clearly.
